On May 4th, 2023, at approximately 7:54 PM, the Coon Rapids Police Department responded to multiple reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Northdale Boulevard Northwest and Round Lake Boulevard Northwest.
According to a press release from the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, witnesses reported that "a 2006 Subaru Forester was westbound on Northdale Boulevard Northwest when it was struck by a 2019 Honda CBR600 motorcycle that had been southbound on Round Lake Boulevard Northwest."
The press release also states that multiple witnesses said the motorcyclist entered the intersection "against a red light."
Neither driver was identified by name, but the motorcyclist was described as "A 25-year-old male from Ramsey." ACSO states that the driver of the Subaru is cooperating with the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation by the Coon Rapids Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, and the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office.
