Bigger And Better Coon Rapids Farmers Market In 2024

The Coon Rapids Farmers Market is back for summer, each Wednesday in the parking lot of the Coon Rapids Ice Center. Here you can get your hands on fresh, Minnesota grown fruits and veggies.

"We will not be here on the 3rd of July as part of the 4th of July week, but then we're here every Wednesday 3 to 6 p.m.," Coon Rapids Recreation Supervisor Ryan Gunderson said.

This year the Farmers Market has expanded to include a wider variety of vendors.

"Traditionally we've partnered with the Anoka County Growers Association,” Gunderson said. “We're still partnering with them, but we've opened it up, offering vending slots each week."

Now you will find crafters and artists like Ken Yelle from Coon Rapids, selling his wood turned decor.

"I started during COVID and I had to have something to do so that's when I started doing this and I haven't stopped yet," Yelle said.

And there are bakers too.

"I'm so glad that we brought a bunch of apples," Ben Follese, owner of Good Doughnuts said.

You will even find vendors offering services like solar energy.

On the third Wednesday of each month, the Coon Rapids Farmers Market will have special activities for guests including kids and senior day.

If you're a non-produce vendor and want to have a booth at the Coon Rapids Farmers Market, go here for more information.
