MinneapoliMedia is thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of Abarenbō Tensai-ko no Bōken (The Adventures of Abarenbō Tensai-ko), an original weekly cartoon series built around imagination, discovery, humor, and one irrepressibly curious young girl.

WHO IS TENSAI-KO?

She is curious. She is clever. She is adventurous. She asks questions. Lots of questions.

And when something catches her attention, there is a very good chance she is going to investigate it.

With her unmistakable brass goggles, explorer jacket, utility bag, high-top sneakers, and two magnificent puffs of natural hair, Tensai-ko approaches the world as though practically everything deserves a closer look:

• A strange object? She wants to know what it does.
• An unfamiliar place? She wants to know what is there.
• Something everybody else stopped noticing? That is precisely what she notices first.

Tensai-ko does not know everything, and that is what makes her journey so exciting: her intelligence lives in her desire to find out. She observes, experiments, and gets ideas. Sometimes those ideas work beautifully. Sometimes they create an entirely new problem. And often, the adventure begins simply because Tensai-ko asked the one question everyone else forgot to ask.

A WORLD BUILT FOR DISCOVERY

Abarenbō Tensai-ko no Bōken takes place in a world where learning happens naturally through exploration:

• Science becomes an unexpected adventure.
• History hides a local mystery.
• A neighborhood conceals something worth discovering.
• A mistake transforms into a grand experiment.
• An ordinary Saturday becomes extraordinary the moment Tensai-ko gets involved.

At the center of this universe is a young Black girl who is curious, inventive, funny, fearless, occasionally mistaken, and completely at home occupying the role of explorer. She does not wait for someone else to have the adventure. She is the adventure.

THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

Each weekly installment of Abarenbō Tensai-ko no Bōken will open another window into her expanding world, featuring recurring characters, new discoveries, and situations that test how Tensai-ko thinks.

There will be plenty of time to discover where Tensai-ko is going. For now, there is just one thing you need to know:

• The goggles are ready.
• The compass is pointing somewhere.
• The bag is packed.
• And she has probably already wandered off to investigate something she was told not to touch.
