MINNEAPOLIMEDIA NEWS | Stellis Health Plans to Join CentraCare as Providers Target January Transition

The proposed combination would bring the physician-owned group into CentraCare while final agreements and regulatory review remain pending.

MONTICELLO, MN (October 22, 2026). Stellis Health plans to become part of CentraCare under a proposed agreement announced Wednesday, October 21, expanding an existing relationship between healthcare providers serving Wright County and surrounding communities.

Stellis shareholders have voted to proceed. The organizations said they are working toward final agreements and required regulatory review and approval, with a goal of completing the change January 1, 2027.

For patients, the immediate instruction is to continue using their existing care arrangements. Stellis clinics will operate as usual during the process, and patients can continue seeing their current providers.

The organizations said operational integration would occur over time if the agreement is finalized, with decisions about systems and services made as the transition develops.

Stellis is a physician-owned medical group with more than 60 providers and locations in Buffalo and Monticello. Its services include primary care, specialty care and urgent care.

The organizations already collaborate at CentraCare–Monticello Hospital, where Stellis physicians provide care. Both use the Epic electronic medical record system. Leaders said the proposed combination is intended to improve coordination between clinic, specialty and hospital services.

CentraCare operates nine hospitals and more than 30 Minnesota clinics, according to MPR News. Financial terms of the proposed agreement were not disclosed.

The announcement comes during continued consolidation in Minnesota healthcare. However, a proposed transaction and a completed acquisition remain distinct: the organizations’ January target depends on the remaining agreements and review process.

Patients can consult CentraCare’s announcement for the organizations’ current transition information.
