BROOKLYN PARK, MN (October 26, 2026). Brooklyn Park will bring healthcare professionals, community organizations and food assistance together November 21 at a free Health on the Go Community Health Fair at North Hennepin Community College.
The fair runs noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 21, at 7411 85th Ave. N. Residents can explore preventive screenings, health and wellness information, and resources for individuals and families.
CAPI plans to provide approximately 80 food boxes, limited to one per household and available while supplies last. The city describes the fair as free and open to the community.
A Health Strategy Built Around Community Access
Health on the Go developed from efforts to address unequal access to healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A Hennepin County account traces the initiative’s launch to December 2020, when the Brooklyn Bridge Alliance for Youth helped establish mobile health services. Its subsequent development brought together the two Brooklyn cities, county public health staff and community organizations.
The county describes the approach as bringing free and low-cost resources into community settings, particularly for residents who may not find conventional healthcare environments accessible, welcoming or affirming.
Brooklyn Park’s program description identifies partnerships with apartment communities, community organizations and government agencies to provide services where residents live or gather. The broader initiative has addressed physical health and connections to other resources rather than operating exclusively as a vaccination program.
Earlier Results Provide Background
In its historical account, Hennepin County reported that the collaborative held more than 50 events across Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center in 2022, engaging more than 10,000 attendees.
Those events included health services, resource tables and food distribution. The county also documented more than 1,500 COVID-19 vaccine doses delivered during that period.
Those figures describe earlier program activity. They are not attendance projections or service totals for the upcoming November fair.
What Families Should Know Before Attending
The November announcement identifies preventive screenings generally but does not provide a complete list of tests or participating healthcare providers. Residents seeking a specific service should ask the organizer before making arrangements.
The food-box distribution is also limited. The announced supply should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every household attending will receive a box.
