In Northdale Shopping Center, a local business is stitching success into the fabric of the community.

Rebyl, a custom screen printing and embroidery shop, has been serving customers for over 30 years, growing from a modest garage operation to a full-fledged business hub.

Steve Culley, who took the plunge into entrepreneurship following a spark of inspiration while working at Northern States Power (now Xcel Energy), has since built a brand recognized for its quality and creativity.

"I was listening to the radio while I was driving around reconnecting meters for Northern States Power and somebody on the radio said that we live in a country where if you don't like your job, you can make your own and I'm like, ‘hey that sounds good,’" Culley said, in a statement obtained by Coon Rapids Minnesota.

Proudly nestled in the community, Rebyl has catered to various needs, from casual tops to specialized athletic uniforms.

And in a business where design is key, even those lacking an artist's vision can rely on Rebyl's prowess.

"We have one of the best artists in the industry," Culley asserted, making it clear that leaving him to his own devices often yields the best outcomes.

Following an expansion, the team at Rebyl has grown to 15 employees, described by Culley as amazing, whilst driving efficiency and commitment to their embroidery expertise.

The evolution of Rebyl hasn't stagnated with its employee growth; the shop embraced technological advancements a few years ago by automating its screen printing process, as per the Coon Rapids Minnesota. This year, they are aiming to bring their embroidery equipment up to speed to meet the growing business demand.

The updates signal a forward momentum for the long-standing establishment, positing Rebyl as not just a purveyor of printed and embroidered goods, but as an integral part of the community's fabric.

After three decades in the industry, the luster of the craft hasn't dulled for Culley. "We are in a really fun business," he reflected, his passion for the product as clear as it was at the inception of Rebyl. "After 31 years, I still love to see a cool shirt get printed," said Culley, his enthusiasm echoing through the timeline of his career from the early days in his garage to the current thriving enterprise anchoring the Northdale Shopping Center.
