Brooklyn Park Police Ask For Help Investigating Sexual Assault

If you have information about a Wednesday afternoon sexual assault that took place in Brooklyn Park, the police want to hear from you.

Police say a woman was sexually assaulted at approximately 3:15 p.m. on April 24. The incident occurred in the 7400 block of Unity Avenue.

“The suspect was described as an African American male, mid-twenties, wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, black tennis shoes, and had a black cross-body bag,” wrote the police department in a community alert. “He was described to be around 5’6″ tall with a slight build, had mid-length hair standing on-end, a small mustache, and was holding a handgun.”
