A request to rezone a 3.8-acre parcel from office to moderate density residential to build a 34-unit rental townhouse development was rejected by the Coon Rapids City Council Aug. 5 on a 4-1 vote.
Mayor Jerry Koch along with Councilmembers Brian Armstrong, Pat Carlson and Brad Greskowiak voted for denial, while Council Member Jennifer Geisler favored the rezoning. Council members Sean Novack and Kari Rehrauer were absent.
