Anoka Starts 2025 Budget Process Looking To Trim

Although a budget gets approved in December, the process takes many months to get to a place where a council can pass it. On Aug. 5, the Anoka City Council already got a first look at the 2025 budget during a presentation from Finance Director Brenda Springer and City Manager Greg Lee.

“Our charter requires (a budget presentation) in the first week of August,” Lee said. “This is simply the starting point — the kickoff to defining the budget for the city of Anoka.”
