In a recent operation led by the Minneapolis Police Department's Southside Community REACT Team, alongside the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (MBCA), local law enforcement officials executed a search warrant in Coon Rapids, uncovering an extensive cache of narcotics and cash; this discovery also included a firearm, informed sources from an announcement by the MPD.
The implicated suspect was apprehended while driving nearby, where additional drugs were found within his vehicle. He has since been booked into the Anoka County Jail mandating a bail set at a steep $2 million as the MPD stated it; according to officials, the suspect now faces charges related to narcotics and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Emphasizing the cross-jurisdictional nature of crime and law enforcement partnership, the Minneapolis Police Department profusely thanked their team and the MBCA counterparts for their rigorous efforts. They made clear that "criminal activity knows no boundaries—and neither does our commitment to keeping our communities safe."
