ANOKA, MN – The Anoka County Fair, a beloved summer tradition, is scheduled to run from Tuesday, July 22, to Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Anoka County Fairgrounds. The fair promises six days of entertainment, agricultural showcases, and community engagement.
Commissioner Mike Gamache, Chair of the Anoka County Board of Commissioners, highlighted several exciting developments for this year's fair. "The Anoka County Fair runs July 22 to 27 this year," Gamache stated. "Anoka County has a new, bigger building at the fair this year, and the award-winning Bike to the Fair program is back."
While details on the specific nature and size of the "new, bigger building" are anticipated, it is expected to enhance the fairgoer experience, potentially offering more space for exhibits, vendors, or activities.
Returning for another successful year is the "Bike to the Fair" program, an initiative that recently garnered national recognition. The program, a collaboration between Anoka County Commute Solutions and the Anoka County Fair, provides a free and secure on-site Bike Valet service for fairgoers who choose to cycle to the event. This innovative program received first place in the Community Impact Award category from the International Association of Fairs and Expositions, lauded for its efforts in reducing traffic congestion, promoting active transportation, and enhancing community experience.
Fairgoers who utilize the Bike Valet service can enjoy free admission on designated days, including Tuesday, July 22 (Kids Day), and Saturday, July 26, between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. Organizers encourage pre-registration for the Bike Valet program to secure a spot.
The Anoka County Fair will offer a wide array of attractions, including carnival rides, live music on the Bandshell and Beer Garden stages, interactive shows and demonstrations, Swifty Swine Pig Races, and over 100 craft, boutique, and food vendors. The Compass Ag Education Building will also be a hub for learning, alongside 4-H and livestock shows. Fireworks are scheduled for Tuesday night.
Admission to the fair is $15 for adults and $10 for children (ages 6-12), with free entry for children 5 and under. Special discounts are available, including Kids Day on Tuesday, July 22, which offers a discounted admission price that includes unlimited rides. Senior Day on Wednesday, July 23, will offer special pricing for seniors aged 62 and over.
