FHPAP provides financial assistance and supportive services, such as rent and utility payments, to eligible households. To qualify, participants must have incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines and be residents of Minnesota or approved by Minnesota Housing. The program aims to prevent homelessness and minimize repeat episodes by offering timely support to families and individuals in need.
Anoka County serves as the grantee for FHPAP and collaborates with various community agencies and organizations to administer the program. These partnerships are essential in delivering effective assistance to those in need. For more information or to find a local FHPAP provider, individuals can visit the Minnesota Housing website or contact their local housing authority.
This funding underscores Minnesota's commitment to preventing homelessness and supporting families in securing stable housing. As housing challenges continue to evolve, sustained investments in programs like FHPAP are vital to ensuring that all Minnesotans have access to safe and affordable housing.
