Coon Rapids Police to Host 'Coffee with a Cop' on National Day

COON RAPIDS, MN — The Coon Rapids Police Department will host a Coffee with a Cop event tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1, in honor of National Coffee with a Cop Day. The gathering will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Starbucks located at 13131 Riverdale Drive NW.

Community members are encouraged to stop by for coffee and conversation with local law enforcement officers. The event provides an informal setting for residents to ask questions, share concerns, and build relationships with the officers who serve their community. There is no formal agenda or speeches planned, making it an open and welcoming opportunity for dialogue.

National Coffee with a Cop Day, observed annually on the first Wednesday in October, was established in 2011 in Hawthorne, California, and has since expanded across the United States and internationally. The initiative aims to foster positive interactions between law enforcement and the communities they serve, strengthening trust and understanding.

The Coon Rapids Police Department looks forward to connecting with residents over a cup of coffee and continuing efforts to enhance public safety and community engagement.
