Dominium Residents Seeking Affordable Rent Through State Legislature

Through capitol rallies, House and Senate testimonies, stories of retaliation and poor building conditions, documented rent increases and failed legislation in last year’s session, a coalition of Dominium renters said that they are back at it again with a pair of bills to ease their financial burdens.

“The politicians are throwing around that word ‘affordable’ like it’s some kind of golden umbrella,” Sandi Helle, a Dominium resident at Bren Road Station, Minnetonka, said. “And they don’t have a clue of what that means! It could be affordable to them — but look at us!”
