Fridley OKs Easement For Gas Line Through Edgewater Gardens Park

Fridley has approved a permanent easement for CenterPoint Energy to construct a new Gas line through Edgewater Gardens Park. The move comes as CenterPoint seeks to realign their main gas corridor along Mississippi Street, a project that has been in talks since last year.

Edgewater Gardens Park is part of Fridley’s ongoing Park System Improvement Plan, currently undergoing construction as of Summer 2024, according to the agenda packet brief from Director of Public Works Jim Kosluchar and Assistant City Engineer Brandon Brodhag, the gas line does not create any problems for the park.
