The dilapidated, partly demolished strip mall at Diffley Road and Highway 13 has been closed by the city of Burnsville, and redevelopment of the blighted corner appears to be in limbo.
The certificate of occupancy for the Riverview Center was pulled on July 26 and the building posted as uninhabitable, Fire Chief BJ Jungmann said. Jungmann said he’ll ask the City Council this month to approve a hazardous building declaration.
