Blaine Residents And Workers Invited To Experience Inner Workings Of Public Safety At Citizens Academy

Image

The City of Blaine is calling on its residents and those who work within its domain to step forward, to peer into the workings of their safety services by participating in this year’s Citizens Academy. This engagement is more than just a perfunctory walk-through. It's an opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of what it means to maintain the threads of public safety in a community's quilt, hands-on.

The intention is to provide a "fun and safe behind-the-scenes look at the functions of Police, Fire, and Community Standards," according to the announcement. The nine-week course promises intensity and enrichment, donning the cloak of practical experience on Tuesday nights from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, starting September 3 and wrapping up on October 29.

To participate, individuals are instructed to mark their intent by registering online at the City of Blaine website or send their queries via email to the designated community outreach address.
