Fridley Floats Townhome, Patio Home Construction For Central/Mississippi Redevelopment

At a staff conference meeting, Fridley’s Housing and Redevelopment Authority provided the Fridley City Council members with an update on the redevelopment of Central Avenue and Mississippi Street. The plan offered options for either patio or townhome housings in the area, of which the Council slightly preferred patio homes.

The site at the intersection is close to Rice Creek Regional Trail. HRA Assistant Executive Director Paul Bolin said the acreage would have easy access to Fridley High School and Medtronic, and has been in Fridley’s comprehensive plan for the last three iterations.
