Temporary Closure Of Minneapolis Light Rail Lines Begins Wednesday

Replacement bus service will operate during the closure.

Light rail service in Minneapolis will shut down Wednesday night for a four-day, maintenance-related closure.

The closure, which begins at 10 p.m. and is expected to last until 3 a.m. Monday, will impact the METRO Blue and Green lines.

According to METRO Transit, buses will operate service on the Blue Line route between the Franklin Avenue and Target Field stations and on the Green Line route between Stadium Village and Target Field stations during the closure.

"Replacement bus timing can vary and trips may take longer because of needed routing and traffic conditions," METRO Transit advises riders. "Please plan extra time for your trip."

More details on the closure and replacement bus service can be found here.
