I-35W Northbound Back Open In Lino Lakes Following Semi Crash And Fuel Spill
The State Patrol says the truck was hauling fuel when it overturned around 3:45 a.m., spilling hazardous material and closing the interstate for more than 7 hours.
LINO LAKES, Minn. — All northbound lanes of I-35W are back open again in Lino Lakes following an extended closure due to a crash involving a semi and fuel spill.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the incident happened around 3:45 a.m. where the interstate meets County Road 23/Lake Drive. The Patrol's website says the semi was hauling fuel when it crashed, causing it to overturn and leak hazardous liquid on and near the roadway.
The State Patrol Commercial Vehicles Division will investigate what led to the crash.
