Coon Rapids Unveils Virtual Business Tour To Boost Local Economy And Discoverability
Coon Rapids residents and visitors alike now have a nifty digital avenue to explore the local business landscape from the comfort of their own devices. The City's economic development team has rolled out a Virtual Business Tour of the Northdale Boulevard and Foley Boulevard Business District, allowing for a fresh way to discover at least two dozen businesses clustered within a stone’s throw of each other.
Speaking to the city's initiative, Community Development Director Matt Brown highlighted the simple but impactful intent behind the project. According to a Coon Rapids City announcement, "Our main goal is just to make people aware of the wide range of local businesses that exist in the community." This initiative could also serve as a beacon for the businesses that have taken root in Coon Rapids, shining a spotlight on establishments such as Forever Floral, which stakes its claim on unique flower arrangements.
Owner Jackie Bockwitz, whose Forever Floral is featured on the virtual tour, expressed her enthusiasm in a statement released by the City of Coon Rapids. She said, "I think that's wonderful. The more people that know where we are, know where to find us, is great." It's a testament to the local spirit and the communal ambition to thrive through increased visibility and customer traffic.
The interactive map embodies a user-friendly design, where a brief description of each business is just a click away on the left-hand side of the tour. Following with a 'learn more' tab, curious minds are directed seamlessly to the websites of these establishments. "We just wanted to do more to make people aware of those businesses," Matt Brown told the civic authorities, aiming to nurture both customer loyalty and community pride.
