ANOKA COUNTY, MN — July 9, 2025 — Community members interested in shaping the future of Minnesota’s largest school district will soon have their chance to step forward. Three seats on the Anoka-Hennepin School Board—representing Districts 3, 4, and 6—will be on the ballot for the general election on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
The candidate filing period opens Monday, July 29 and closes at 5 p.m. on Monday, August 12.
Board members serve four-year terms on the six-member, nonpartisan elected body, with elections held every two years for alternating districts. The board oversees the policies and direction of the Anoka-Hennepin School District, which serves more than 37,000 students across 13 municipalities.
District 3 includes the city of Champlin, portions of Dayton, and the northwest section of Coon Rapids.
District 4 encompasses parts of Nowthen, Ham Lake, and Oak Grove, as well as a large portion of Andover and the northeast section of Ramsey.
District 6 covers northern Coon Rapids and southern Andover.

Anoka County is also recruiting election judges to staff polling places for the November 4 school board election.
To qualify as an election judge, individuals must:
High school students aged 16 or 17 may serve as election judge trainees. All election judges are paid and must complete online training prior to Election Day. Under Minnesota law, employers must allow election judges to serve without penalty to their regular pay.
