Minneapolis Police Department Hosts Leadership Workshop With Motorola CEO And Vikings Coach
Yesterday, leaders in the Minneapolis law enforcement community were presented with lessons on leadership from two high-profile figures, Motorola CEO Greg Brown and Minnesota Vikings Head Coach Kevin O’Connell.
Officials from local and federal agencies convened with the duo at an event hosted by the Minneapolis Police Department, a gathering aimed at fostering effective leadership within their ranks.
Chief Brian O'Hara of MPD orchestrated this session following the impactful message on leadership delivered by Greg Brown on a prior occasion, and with the Vikings' recent triumphs, both on and off the field, Coach O'Connell's insights were highly sought after.
"MPD is only as good as its worst supervisor. We need good people to step up and exercise leadership in very difficult and challenging times," Chief O'Hara emphasized.
The event was a platform for the exchange of experiences and strategies that drive organizational success. O'Hara expressed his hope for those present to apply what they've learned not just for personal gain but to benefit the larger community, noting, "We need good people with courage and values to stand up for what’s right," as stated by the Minneapolis Police Department. Chief O'Hara added, "My hope is that the leaders will use what they learned and apply the lessons to benefit not only themselves but all those around them."
