Coon Rapids Approves 5-year Contract To Lease Police Department Equipment

A five-year contract for the Coon Rapids Police Department to lease equipment, including Body Worn Cameras and the in-car camera system, was unanimously approved by the Coon Rapids City Council Nov. 19.

The contract with Axon Enterprise Inc, Scottsdale, Ariz., will cost the city $1.427 million over five years with annual payments of $285,422.70; the first-year installment is included in the city's proposed 2025 budget, which is scheduled to be approved by the council at its Dec. 3 meeting.
