Eden Prairie Weekend Filled With Community Events

It's a bustling weekend ahead in Eden Prairie, starting with the chance to mingle over a hot brew at "Coffee With a Cop." The event, hosted on Friday from 9:00–10:00 A.M. at Scheels–Ginna’s Café and Coffee, invited residents to join Police Chief Matt Sackett and fellow officers. The local Crime Prevention Fund is footing the bill for the free coffee, tea, and treats, fostering a space for community engagement and open dialogue.

Altruism takes center stage with the "Day of Giving" today, from 7:30 A.M. to noon at the Community Center. An opportunity to not just only work out but also extend a helping hand is on offer — attendees are encouraged to bring donations for PROP, the Sojourner Project, or Toys for Tots. While free to Community Center members, non-members can join in for $12 if they reside in Eden Prairie or $15 for those living outside the community.

Sunday kicks off with an artisan twist at the "Outdoor Center Handmade Holiday Market." From 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., local artists and crafters will showcase their handcrafted, nature-inspired items, perfect for those seeking unique holiday gifts. The market returns for those who miss out, on December 15, from noon to 4:00 P.M., promising a second chance at finding that special item.

To cap off Sunday, the "Share the Warmth Holiday Concert" brings festive melodies and community spirit to the Eden Prairie High School Auditorium from 4:00 to 5:30 P.M. The free concert features the Eden Prairie Community Band, with a collection initiative accompanying the event — guests can donate warm clothing and non-perishable food items to support PROP Shop and PROP Food Shelf. A week later, art enthusiasts have something to look forward to with the "Art Center Adult Open House" on December 13, offering an evening of hands-on projects and live demonstrations from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

With a lineup embracing community interaction, charity, artistry, and the holiday spirit, Eden Prairie beckons residents and visitors alike. More information on all activities can be found by visiting the official City of Eden Prairie’s bulletin.
