Minneapolis Police Search For Missing Teen

Ferraro is not a resident of Minneapolis but was visiting the city when he reportedly jumped from his family's vehicle and ran away.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis police are asking for the public's help finding a 16-year-old boy who they said went missing on Thursday.

According to a post on the department's Facebook page, Ashton Ferraro was last seen near the intersection of Hennepin Avenue East and Central Avenue Northeast around 1 p.m. on Dec. 26. The MPD added Ferraro is not a resident of Minneapolis, but was visiting the city when he reportedly jumped from his family's vehicle and ran away.

Authorities said Ferraro lives with ADHD, bipolar disorder and autism.

A description provided by the MPD said he was wearing a puffy, blue Hilfiger jacket with a white stripe; a black hoodie; black pants; and black shoes when he fled. He is described as 5'8 with hazel eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information about Ferraro's whereabouts is urged to call 911 or the city's non-emergency line at 612-348-2345.
