New Leader For Animal Humane Society
The Animal Humane Society has chosen a new person to lead the animal welfare organization. Joy King was recently announced as the new executive director following the retirement of Janelle Dixon, who stepped down at the end of 2024 after spending 33 years with the Animal Humane Society.
King brings 25 years of nonprofit leadership experience, including filling top roles in the National Marrow Donor Program and the Midwest division of the American Cancer Society.
