HAM LAKE, MN — The inaugural Anoka County SWAT Team Golf Tournament is set for Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake, Minnesota. The event aims to raise funds to support the Anoka County SWAT Team, helping cover the rising costs of specialized protective equipment and advanced training.
The Anoka County SWAT Team is a multi-jurisdictional unit providing tactical assistance across the county. Its member agencies include the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office and the police departments of Anoka, Blaine, Centennial Lakes, Columbia Heights, Coon Rapids, Fridley, Lino Lakes, and Ramsey. The team comprises 54 members, including operators, snipers, negotiators, and paramedics, all trained to respond to high-risk situations efficiently and safely.
The tournament offers community members a unique opportunity to support local law enforcement while enjoying a day of golf. Registration opens at 10:30 AM, Check-In at 11:30 AM, with a shotgun start at 12:30 PM. Entry fees are $125 per individual or $500 per foursome, which includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, and dinner. Participants can also explore sponsorship opportunities, with some of the event’s sponsors including Kinetic Group / Northrop Grumman, ACE Solid Waste, and Peregrine Technologies.
Beyond the golf tournament, attendees can enjoy raffles, prizes, and additional activities, creating an engaging and family-friendly atmosphere. Proceeds from the event will directly fund critical training and equipment, ensuring the SWAT team remains prepared to serve and protect Anoka County residents at the highest level.
