ST. PAUL, Minn. — As winter approaches and temperatures begin to fall, Neighborhood House has officially launched its 2025–2026 Winter Gear Drive, calling on the community to donate new or gently used cold-weather essentials to help keep local families safe and warm.

The drive runs from October 20 through Spring 2026, with donations accepted at the Wellstone Center, located at 179 Robie Street East, Room 96 (lower level) in St. Paul. Community members are invited to drop off items Mondays from 2–6 p.m. and Tuesdays through Thursdays from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. The center will remain closed on Fridays.

All items should be new or gently used and suitable for Minnesota’s cold winter months.

For more than a century, Neighborhood House has been a cornerstone of community service in St. Paul, providing what it calls “Hope, Opportunity, and Dignity for All.” The organization supports families through food access, housing stability, education, youth and family programs, and community empowerment initiatives.
This year’s Winter Gear Drive, part of the organization’s “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” effort, underscores its mission to ensure that every individual—regardless of income or background—can face the harsh Minnesota winter with warmth, dignity, and comfort.
“Winter in Minnesota can be especially difficult for families struggling to meet basic needs,” said a Neighborhood House representative. “Every coat, pair of boots, and blanket donated makes a real difference in helping our neighbors stay safe and warm.”
