Snow Update: Saturday February 8, 2025

Snowplow Updates: Full Plow to Begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8.

All snowplow crews will begin a full plow of the city at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8.

A full plow includes all main streets, residential streets and cul-de-sac areas maintained by the City. The process can take several hours to complete. Sidewalks will also be cleared within 48 hours.

Please remember to keep parked vehicles off streets until they have been cleared from curb to curb. We ask for your patience and cooperation keeping streets clear from obstructions that will slow down plows and make it more difficult to clear the snow.

Stay safe, drive slow, and please keep parked cars, garbage bins and other items out of the streets!

Fire Hydrants

  • It is the responsibility of all residents to remove snow from fire hydrants nearest to their home.
  • Clear a path three feet around the hydrant.
  • This is for the safety of you and your property. Cleared hydrants reduce response time in the event of an emergency, so that first responders do not have to shovel out the hydrant before firefighting operations can begin.

Winter Parking Rules

  • While the overnight street parking ban is only in effect from Nov. 1 to April 1, keeping vehicles, garbage cans and other items out of the street during spring snowfalls will help crews achieve the most thorough cleanup possible.

Garbage & Recycling Bins

  • Please keep garbage and recycling carts out of the street, behind the curb.
  • City Code requires streets remain free of obstructions so the plow can go by and clean thoroughly.
  • Other obstructions must be out of the roadway as well, including basketball hoops, hockey nets and other items.
