The Anoka-Hennepin 2024-2025 budget got a mid-year amendment, a regular step in the budgets process as final numbers come into view, on March 24. Chief Financial Officer Michelle Vargas gave an update regarding adjustments made to finances that only took shape after the start of the school year.
“Overall, the budget adjustment we’re making is a $20 million increase in revenue and a $15.4 million increase in expenditures,” Vargas said. “Almost all of that is in the general fund, … an overall 2.8% increase to revenue and a 2.1% increase to expenditures.”
