Cool Off And Glide: Coon Rapids Ice Center Announces Summer Skating School

Coon Rapids, MN – May 16, 2025 – Beat the summer heat and discover the joy of ice skating!

The Coon Rapids Ice Center (CRIC) is thrilled to announce its annual Summer Skating School, offering ten weeks of engaging lessons for skaters of all ages and abilities.

Starting on Monday, June 16th, and running through Monday, August 18th, the program provides a fantastic opportunity to learn the fundamentals of skating or refine existing skills. Classes will be held on Monday evenings, with each session consisting of 30 minutes of focused instruction led by experienced and certified skating instructors.

Whether you're a complete beginner taking your first tentative steps on the ice or an adult looking to improve your technique, the Coon Rapids Skating School has a class for you. Lessons are thoughtfully structured for various skill levels, catering to individuals aged four through adulthood.

"We're excited to welcome skaters of all levels to our summer program," says Sarah Miller, Head Skating Instructor at CRIC. "Our goal is to provide a fun and supportive environment where participants can develop their skating skills and build confidence on the ice."

A significant added value of the Summer Skating School is the inclusion of practice passes. Each participant will receive passes that can be used during any of the CRIC's public skate sessions, allowing for valuable extra practice time to reinforce the skills learned during lessons.
