Father Paul Hedman Of Coon Rapids Is New Chaplain For National Guard

The Minnesota National Guard’s new chaplain, Father Paul Hedman, preaches at the Church of the Epiphany in Coon Rapids. He was sworn in on April 5 at 11 a.m. on the steps of the St Paul Cathedral.

“Military Chaplains help service members develop the strength to face adversity by nurturing the living, caring for the wounded and honoring the fallen,” Army Colonel and Minnesota National Guard State Chaplain Buddy Winn said. “The chaplain’s mission-to nurture the living, care for the wounded and honor the fallen-ensures our people are never left without that support.”
