Several upcoming changes to Anoka’s liquor license code will give the city more options for dealing with noncompliant businesses. The changes were voted in 3-0 on April 7, with Mayor Erik Skogquist and Council Member Jeff Weaver absent.
There are several tweaks to language, with minimum space to apply for a liquor license being set to 1,000 square feet or 25 seats. Gross food sale requirements were also lowered from 35% to 20%.
