MDH Updates Fish Consumption Guidance Amidst New PFAs

The Minnesota Department of Health has updated its fish-consumption guidelines due to PFAS found in fish in 10 different Minnesota counties, including Anoka County.

PFAS are harmful chemicals that have been widely used for decades to make products that resist heat, oil, stains, grease and water, according toan April 17 press release from MDG. PFAS are linked to low birth weight in infants and a weaker immune system in children.
