The 32-year-old woman killed leaves behind three children between the ages of 8 months and 10 years.
A suspect is in custody following the fatal stabbing of a mother-of-three in Burnsville.
Police say the killing occurred at a home on the 2000 block of 117th Street East, with officers sent to the scene around 9:35 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a domestic disturbance.
A 32-year-old woman was found dead at the scene, having suffered multiple stab wounds.
A family friend identified her to the Star Tribune as Danielle Grace Warren. The friend wrote in an online fundraiser for her family that Warren leaves behind three children, aged 10, 5 and 8-months-old.
"A suspect was later apprehended by Lakeville Police. There is no threat to the public, Burnsville police said. According to jail records, the suspected was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Wednesday and booked into the Dakota County Jail for probable cause second-degree murder.

The homicide Wednesday comes just days after an unrelated death prompted an investigation in Burnsville, with police issuing an appeal for public information after a man was found dead at Interlachen Park early Saturday
"We are asking anyone who made have heard or saw anything to contact us," said Burnsville Sgt. Lauren Olson. "Businesses or residents with security footage that shows activity during this time can help us in our investigation into what happened."
Police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
