Coon Rapids Opens 2025 Photography Contest: “Amazing Coon Rapids Animals”

The 2025 Coon Rapids Photography Contest, sponsored by the Coon Rapids Arts Commission, is now open for submissions. The contest invites amateur photographers of all ages to showcase their creativity while celebrating the city’s wildlife and domestic animals. This year’s theme, “Amazing Coon Rapids Animals,” encourages entries featuring both wild and domesticated animals found within Coon Rapids.

Contest Details:

• Theme: Amazing Coon Rapids Animals
• Submission Deadline: Friday, September 12, 2025, by 4:30 p.m.
• Categories:
  • Youth (17 years and under)
  • Adult (18 years and older)
• Prizes:
  • First Place: $100
  • Second Place: $50
• Submission Requirements: Photos must have been taken within Coon Rapids city limits in 2023 or later and cannot have been previously published or submitted to other contests.

The contest is part of the Arts Commission’s ongoing efforts to promote local arts and provide a platform for residents to showcase their creativity and unique perspectives of the community. Winners will be selected in both age categories, and cash prizes will be awarded accordingly.
