Coon Rapids Farmers Market Hosts “Senior Day” This Afternoon
COON RAPIDS, Minn. (Aug. 20, 2025) — Fresh produce, homemade goods, and a celebration of community are on the menu this afternoon as the Coon Rapids Farmers Market marks Senior Day. The market runs from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Coon Rapids Ice Center parking lot (11000 Crooked Lake Blvd.).
Organized by the Anoka County Growers Association, the market showcases the best of the late-summer harvest, featuring locally grown vegetables, berries, honey, jams, and fresh-cut flowers. In addition, shoppers can browse a rotating selection of cottage bakers, artists, and crafters, making the market a destination for both fresh food and unique handmade items.
Senior Day is one of the market’s themed Wednesdays, designed to encourage older adults to connect with local growers and enjoy the peak of Minnesota’s growing season. The event is part of a series of special market days scheduled throughout the summer.
The Coon Rapids Farmers Market is held every Wednesday, rain or shine, through early October. The Ice Center location offers easy access and plenty of parking, making it convenient for residents and visitors alike.
