Anoka, MN — Anoka residents have a final opportunity to participate in the City’s fall curbside recycling event for household appliances and electronics, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025. The City of Anoka is partnering with JRs Advanced Recyclers to provide this convenient pick-up service. The collection is strictly limited to household appliances and electronics — no other materials will be accepted.

Residents must register their address and pay for any electronic items directly with JRs Advanced Recyclers.
The City’s Waste Reduction & Recycling Board (WRRB) will cover transportation, labor, and recycling fees for all household appliances through its SCORE funding (Select Committee on Recycling and the Environment). Appliances must be clean and emptied prior to pickup.
Residents are responsible for paying recycling fees for electronic items directly to JRs Advanced Recyclers. Sample pricing includes:

For electronics not listed, residents are encouraged to contact JRs Advanced Recyclers directly for pricing information.
The event allows residents to safely dispose of large and potentially hazardous items while supporting the city’s ongoing waste-reduction and e-waste recycling efforts. By subsidizing appliance recycling, the city lowers barriers for proper disposal, and residents can responsibly recycle electronics in accordance with Minnesota’s e-waste regulations.
