Anoka County Offices To Close For Labor Day On September 1

Government services, libraries, and license centers will observe the holiday, resuming normal operations Tuesday.

Anoka County officials have announced that all county offices will be closed on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day. The closure affects the Anoka County Government Center, License & Passport Centers, libraries, and Public Health & Environmental Services.

Affected Services:

  • License & Passport Centers: All locations—including Blaine, Coon Rapids, Columbia Heights, Ham Lake, and Ramsey—will be closed on September 1. Regular hours resume Tuesday, September 2.
  • Libraries: All Anoka County Library branches will be closed from Saturday, August 30, through Monday, September 1, for the Labor Day weekend.
  • Public Health & Environmental Services: Offices will be closed, including services for recycling, composting, and household hazardous waste disposal.
  • Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program: The WIC office and phone lines will be closed all day on Labor Day.

Most county offices operate Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Some facilities, such as libraries and license centers, may have extended hours.
