ANOKA, MN – August 26, 2025 – The Anoka County Board of Commissioners convened Tuesday for a Management Committee Meeting followed by a Regular Board Meeting at the Government Center. Both sessions were open to the public and streamed live online, with recordings archived on North Metro Television and the Anoka County YouTube channel.
The Management Committee Meeting, held at 8:15 a.m. in Conference Room 772, included a public comment period and a review of the previous report. No formal actions were disclosed during the session.
The Regular Board Meeting, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in County Board Room #705, featured the approval of county claims and purchase-card expenses for the period ending August 8, 2025. Minutes from the August 12 meeting were also approved.
Board members reviewed and approved recommendations from several committees, including Government Operations, Human Services, Public Safety, and Transportation/Parks. Key actions included:

In addition, the board recognized Shane Sheets, Director of the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, for his election as president of the International Association of Coroners and Medical Examiners.
Following the meeting, a public comment period allowed residents up to two minutes each to address the board.
