Minneapolis, MN — The transition from high school to college is a defining moment in any student’s life, and for Calvin Rae, that milestone has arrived with excitement and purpose. The young scholar has officially been admitted to Gustavus Adolphus College, joining the Class of 2030, and his journey reflects both dedication and ambition.
“I made it to Gustavus Adolphus College,” Calvin shared, his enthusiasm unmistakable. “It’s been my first-choice college for over a year now, so I’m very excited to be admitted.”
Calvin credits his achievement to hard work and perseverance. “I put in lots of long hours studying, preparing for tests, and doing everything I could to make this happen,” he said.
At Gustavus, Calvin plans to pursue a double major in Business Management and Marketing, with aspirations to continue his studies toward a Master’s degree in a related field. But academics are only part of his vision. An avid athlete, he looks forward to joining the college’s soccer and pickleball programs, hoping to play on the D3 or Club soccer teams. “I’ve been following Gustavus closely on social media,” he said. “Their soccer program is very strong, and that was one of the reasons I wanted to join.”

When asked about his expectations, Calvin’s focus and determination are clear. He hopes to graduate with honors and leverage his time at Gustavus to grow academically, athletically, and personally.
For other students aiming high, Calvin offers advice rooted in his own experience: “Just keep pushing. It was a long journey through four years of high school, but keep working your hardest. Make connections with admission counselors early—it helps you get a feel for the campus and understand the opportunities available.”
With ambition, focus, and a commitment to excellence, Calvin Rae is ready to embark on this next chapter at Gustavus Adolphus College. MinneapoliMedia wishes him a successful and fulfilling four years in St. Peter.
