The Anoka County Sheriff’s Office is inviting residents to its annual Community Open House on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office headquarters, located at 13301 Hanson Blvd. NW in Andover.
The event is free and open to the public, with activities designed to connect community members with the people and services that help keep Anoka County safe.
Visitors will be able to explore demonstrations, interactive displays, and specialized equipment from across the Sheriff’s Office divisions. Featured exhibits and activities will include:
In addition, helicopters from public safety partners will be on display, along with information booths from local community partners.
This year’s open house will also feature a special opportunity: tours of Anoka County’s new Emergency Communications Center (911), available from 4:00 until 6:30 p.m. Residents will get a behind-the-scenes look at how emergency calls are handled and dispatched, providing valuable insight into one of the county’s most vital services.
Local food trucks will be on site with food and beverages available for purchase, making the event a family-friendly evening out.
Sheriff Brad Wise emphasized the importance of the open house as a chance for residents to meet the deputies, staff, and public safety partners who serve Anoka County every day.
“This event is about building trust and creating opportunities for people to connect with us,” Wise said. “When our community understands what we do and how we do it, we are all better prepared to work together for a safer Anoka County.”
