Rocky’s Pumpkin Patch Returns Oct. 18 with Free Family Fun at Sand Creek Park

COON RAPIDS, Minn. — The City of Coon Rapids, in partnership with the Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation, is inviting families to celebrate the fall season at the annual Rocky’s Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sand Creek Athletic Complex, located at 1008 Northdale Blvd.

This beloved community tradition offers a free day of trick-or-treating, games, and fall festivities for families across the Coon Rapids area. Beyond the fun, the event also connects residents with local youth-serving organizations, including athletic associations, clubs, and volunteer groups — offering parents and kids a chance to learn more about activities and programs available in the community.

Children can enjoy a variety of free attractions, including:

  • Trick-or-treating
  • A bounce house
  • Bingo
  • Musical chairs
  • An inflatable obstacle course
  • Face painting

Each child will also receive one free pumpkin, while supplies last. Costumes are strongly encouraged, as participants who dress up will be eligible for a special prize.

While admission and activities are free, concessions will be available for purchase from the North Star Lions Club.

Local organizations and nonprofits offering youth programs were invited to participate by hosting booths for a nominal $50 fee, providing them with the opportunity to engage directly with hundreds of families attending the event.

Rocky’s Pumpkin Patch has grown into a hallmark of Coon Rapids’ autumn festivities — blending seasonal fun with community connection and youth engagement.
