COON RAPIDS, MN — The City of Coon Rapids has launched a new community engagement campaign inviting residents to help shape the future of its parks and recreation system. The effort marks the beginning of an update to the City’s Park and Recreation System Master Plan, which will guide improvements and investments across local parks, trails, and recreational spaces over the next ten years.

City officials are calling on residents to share their “wants, needs, and ideas for updates” to ensure the next decade of planning reflects the community’s evolving priorities. The resulting master plan will play a central role in identifying project costs, setting priorities, and determining potential funding sources for future development.

According to City officials, the updated plan will help guide decisions on:
The City of Coon Rapids emphasizes that community participation is key to developing a master plan that truly reflects local values and aspirations.
