The City of Coon Rapids will host the Johnny Cash tribute band Church of Cash on Thursday, April 9, at the Coon Rapids Civic Center as part of its Winter Concert Series.

The performance is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Civic Center, located at 11155 Robinson Drive NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433. The event is organized through the city’s Recreation Division as part of its ongoing community programming.

About the Band

Church of Cash, founded in 2010 by frontman Jay Ernest, is a Minnesota-based tribute band dedicated to the music of Johnny Cash. The group performs songs spanning Cash’s career, including early recordings from Sun Records through his later American Recordings era.

The band has received regional recognition, including being named “Best Tribute Band” by the Midwest Country Music Organization in 2019 and 2021. Ernest was inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame in 2021.
