Pathways to Wellness, presented by CHW Concepts LLC, will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, August 15, at Arlington Hills Community Center, 1200 Payne Avenue in Saint Paul.
Admission is free, and the event is open to the public. Organizers describe the initiative as an effort to connect families with preventive health services, educational resources and community support in one accessible location.
Scheduled services and information include:
Specific screenings, service eligibility and provider availability may vary during the event. Families seeking a particular medical service should contact the organizer before attending.
Backpacks and school supplies will be distributed to eligible school-aged children while quantities last.
A community back-to-school resource directory says registration is required for families seeking backpacks and supplies. Children must be present to receive the items, and distribution is limited to a maximum of four backpacks per family.
Because supplies are limited, families are encouraged to register in advance and arrive early. Event registration should not be interpreted as a guarantee that every requested item will remain available throughout the day.
The community celebration is also scheduled to include:
The activities are intended to make health information more approachable while giving parents, children, providers and neighborhood organizations an opportunity to connect.
