MINNEAPOLIMEDIA NEWS | Anoka County Hiring Event Brings Employers and Job Seekers Together in Blaine
BLAINE, MN (August 19, 2026) Anoka County residents looking for employment or a career change can meet directly with representatives from several public- and private-sector employers during a hiring event Wednesday in Blaine.
The Anoka County Job Training Center will hold the event from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at 1201 89th Avenue NE, Rooms 2402 and 2403.
Participating employers are recruiting for positions in transportation, health care, education, manufacturing, retail, human services and other industries. Some employers are advertising entry-level opportunities, while others are seeking applicants with specialized training or professional credentials.
Organizations scheduled to participate include the Minnesota Department of Transportation, Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs, UPS, First Student, Blaine Brothers, Coborn’s, Opportunity Partners, ACCAP, About U/Alpine Home Health, Revo Health and Twin Cities Orthopedics.
Available positions include bus and van drivers, diesel and hydraulic technicians, certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, surgical technologists, patient-service representatives, classroom aides, teachers, direct-support professionals, personal-care assistants, warehouse workers, package handlers, cashiers and deli employees.
Advertised compensation varies substantially by employer and position. Listed wages range from approximately $12.69 to $60.06 per hour, with qualifications, experience and licensing requirements influencing individual pay offers.
Two organizations will also participate in the Job Training Center’s Employers of the Day session immediately before the larger hiring event. North Star Towing and Revo Health/Twin Cities Orthopedics are scheduled to meet with job seekers from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
Job seekers should bring updated copies of their résumés and be prepared to discuss their employment histories, qualifications and availability with recruiters. Applicants may also want to review participating employers and available openings before arriving so they can prioritize the organizations that most closely match their career interests.
