Brooklyn Park Police Department Asks For Assistance IDing Vehicle After Shooting
Brooklyn Park Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying the driver of a vehicle that may have been involved in a Feb. 23 shooting.
Officers were dispatched at 12:11 a.m. on a report of a shooting in the 5700 block of Brookdale Drive.
Arriving officers found one adult male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was hospitalized and is in critical condition.
A carjacking occurred near the scene of the shooting shortly after the initial incident. The vehicle was later found crashed in a nearby neighborhood.
Now, police have identified a dark-colored Buick Enclave that was at the scene of the shooting, according to a press release.
“Police detectives believe the driver of the (vehicle) may be associated with a ride sharing company (possibly Uber or Lyft) and may have information critical to the case,” the press release reads. “Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call the Brooklyn Park Police Department at 763-493-8222.”
