Pedestrian Killed In Spring Lake Park

A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a vehicle in Spring Lake Park on Saturday, April 10.

The SLP and Columbia Heights police departments along with SLP, Blaine and Mounds View Fire departments and Allina EMS were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian versus motor vehicle crash near Minnesota State Highway 47 and 81st Avenue Northeast in Spring Lake Park at 10:53 p.m., according to a press release from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office. Law enforcement states that an adult female driving a sedan was traveling northbound on State Highway 47 when the vehicle struck the adult male pedestrian.

Upon arrival by emergency responders, the male was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle stopped and has been cooperative in the investigation. The incident is under investigation by the SLP Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office and ACSO.
